Seam Finishing: Why do I need an Overlocker?

If you have just started sewing, or have been sewing for years and are growing tired of raw edge seams and zigzagging on your sewing machine, it may be time to try out a Serger or otherwise known as an Overlocker.

In this Lecture/Demo class you will explain how Overlocked seams and edges can improve the quality of your finished garments, speed piecing of your quilts and even binding techniques on your quilts and home dec items.

In this class you will learn how to:

·       Overlock a single layer to save your seams for pre-washing, hemming and construction

·       Construct and neaten simultaneously

·       Use an Overlocker for bindings

We will have a variety of Overlockers/sergers set-up in the classroom for you to have some hands-on experience too!
